Back to School Night

Tonight was Eaen's Back to School night at Preschool.  We met his teacher Miss Jennie, saw his class room, and talked about all the things they would be learning this year.  He is very excited for school to start!

Fun with Johnny

Tonight Eaen & Carson were having a great time wrapping Johnny up like a burrito & rolling him around on the ground.

 

 

 

Brigham City Temple

Today we took Grandma Woodhave with us up to the Brigham City Temple open house.  There was a big accident on the freeway that delayed us some.  We were grateful we were still able to see it!  It is a beautiful House of The Lord!

Sunday

We got the landlords washer & dryer moved back into the laundry room.  Eaen was a big helper!

We started hanging pictures and decorating the new house.

 

 

 

 

After dinner, Grandpa got out his remote control Mustang for the boys to play with.

 

 

Last pool trip

Today we took one last swim in the pool before we turned in our keys from the old house.  We'll miss having the pool, but we're excited for our new adventures!

First trip to our new park

The is a walking path behind our new house to the park just down the street.  Today after work we decided to go down and check it out.

More Renovations

When we moved in our furniture, we found that our washer & dryer didn't quite fit in the tight space in the basement bathroom/laundry room.  Eaen is helping grandpa with the additional renovations.

Out with the Old

We spent most of today tearing out the lawn in the backyard of the old house so we could get new sod put in.  Our dogs tore up the yard that was there.

 

 

 

 

 



Tonight, we had a toast to our new house and our new adventures!

Moving Day

Today is the day we move into our new house!  With a lot of help from our great family, we got it done rather quickly!

 

 

 

 

Kneaders

To get our final day of packing started, we had breakfast at Kneaders where Eaen looked for Pirates!

Renovations

We pulled up all the carpets and found their dog had gone potty in every room in the house with carpet!  So, we treated the floors and put in new carpet throughout the entire house.  Good thing we know a guy!  In a few short days, we had the rooms painted and the new carpet in and things were ready for us to move in.

Day 1

We didn't have to do much before moving into our house. 

 

Day 1 at our new house -
Plan: Prepare the bedrooms for painting and paint the ugly yellow wall in the kitchen.
Execution: My dad pulled up all the carpet and found the prior owners dog had peed in every room in the house. Fortunately, he loves his grandson too much to let him live in such filth. We're going to put new carpet throughout. We did get the base boards painted in the two bedrooms we're painting. While painting the wall in the kitchen, the ladder fell out from under him. Paint went everywhere. We got most of the mess cleaned up and he finished the kitchen wall. Jayson got rid of all the cobwebs in the garage and the front of the house. Pretty good day. It wouldn't be us if there wasn't some chaos.

 

 

We're Home Owners!

After 2 long months, we finally closed on the purchase of our first home today!  It's so exciting!  Now all the work starts.
