Pants

It's been nicer weather lately.  Today was supposed to get up to 80, so we pulled out Eaen's summer clothes and put on a pair of shorts.  He was not happy about it and insisted on wearing "pants".  After he cried in his room for awhile, I went upstairs to find he had taken off his shorts and put on a pair of jeans, backwards.

Flowers

The last couple of weeks really have been busy.  It was a nice surprise to come home from work tonight at midnight to these beautiful flowers Jayson picked up.  Only 18 more days to the end of "busy season".

Bullseye

Eaen spent today with Grandma & Aunt Mimi.  They took him down to the new City Creek mall to the Disney Store.  Apparently, he found something he didn't have and couldn't live without and Grandma couldn't say "no."  So, he now has a Bullseye as big as his Jessie & Woody.

Baseball at Grandpa's

This week Grandpa bought Eaen some baseball bats and balls.  He didn't have a job Friday, so he kept Eaen and they played baseball.  After dinner tonight, Eaen was ready for more.  Dad said he didn't have to show Eaen how to hold the bat or swing, he was a natural.  It looks like he may be a lefty too.....

After awhile, Eaen decided it was his turn to pitch.

Then it was fightin' time

Carson watched from the truck.

Red Rocks

Tonight we finally got to attend a Red Rocks gymnastics event.  It just happend to be the Pac 12 Championships.  Utah, Stanford, UCLA, and Oregon State were in the evening session.  Jayson & Eaen came out and met me at my office.  We road the Trax up to the University. Eaen liked riding the "train."

We had a good time.  The Utes took second behind UCLA by .05.  We had several gymnasts place in each event and Utes took first and third in the individual all-a-round.

Popcorn

When I was coming home from the temple this morning, I noticed the blossoms on this tree and I thought of the Primary song Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree.

IPad3

Since Grandma Woodhave wanted an IPad and Jayson wanted a new one, we decided to give Grandma the IPad2 I won last summer and we used part of our tax refund to by an IPad3.  Jayson was pleasantly surprised when I went to school a few days after the release and they still had plenty in stock!

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Even though it's St. Patrick's Day, today was the first Saturday I went into work.  Eaen actually slept in until 8 am, so we all took advantage and slept in as well.  He was excited to get his new shirt!  And put down a double-fisted breakfast before we went off on our errands for the day.

By the time I got to work, I was fighting the parade traffic.  The parade started in our parking lot and went right down the street in front of our building.  In between working on tax returns or whenever we had a chance, we were peaking out the window to briefly enjoy the festivities.  A few of us thought it was too bad we didn't let our families come down and watch from the office while we worked!  I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get a picture of my favorite part of the parade.  They had painted a coffin kelly green, cut a hole in the top, and made it into a car.  It was great!  Watching this coffin drive down the street in the parade was priceless!

TinTin

After working many long hours this week and coming home more often than not to these two in bed asleep, tonight I was pleasantly surprised to see them both still up watching a movie!  Jayson picked up TinTin today and they sat down to watch it shortly before I got off work.  We all stayed up late and watched it together.  It was nice to be able to spend time together as a family!

Happy Birthday Jaci

At dinner today we celebrated Jaci's birthday.  It's fun to see how much love Eaen has for all of his family!  He gets so excited to see everyone and he loves birthday cake!  Eaen & Carson were both trying to blow out Jaci's candles.

Shopping

Eaen & I went to the grocery store to get a few things.  When we arrived, they didn't have his favorite shopping cart, the one with the blue car on the front, so he was a little disappointed.  But they did have a child size shopping cart that he decided he was going to use to do the shopping today.  He was so funny walking around and putting things in his cart.  He was even really good about staying with me and listening when I told him he couldn't get something and putting it back on the shelf.  He thought we needed a giant bag of Cheetos and a package of cupcakes.  When I told him they weren't on the list, he put them back.  Since he was so good at the store, he was allowed to get a chocolate milk.  At the checkout, he was very proud of himself putting the items on the belt for the cashier to scan.

Disney on Ice

Tonight Eaen (& Jayson) had their first chance to see Disney on Ice.  This time around, it was Toy Story 3 in town putting on the show.  Maurie gave Eaen tickets for his birthday and we went with the Cannon clan.  Amanda had the day off work, so she picked up Eaen from the Buddy Bin in the afternoon, then Jayson & I met them at the show after I got out of class.  Eaen loved every bit of it!  He was singing, dancing, cheering them on, and even yelled out to Woody, "Woody, say cheese!"  (We were on row 20, but he didn't care)

We got the boys some shirts at intermission (they had a BOGO sale), and they had to put them on for the second half of the night.  Good times!
