New Year's Eve

I can't believe this year has come to an end!  Eaen will be 3 in less than 2 weeks.  I'll be done with school in 16 weeks.  I'm excited to see what 2012 will bring to our family!  Jayson had to work today.  Eaen & I watched the Utes in the Sun Bowl.  Maurie came to play for awhile and we went to Grandma Winn's for dinner.
The only nap they took on the 10 min drive to Grandma's

They sat and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Mark was giving horse rides to the boys while we waited
for dinner to finish cooking and they were loving it!
After dinner we dropped off Maurie and went home.  Eaen was asleep in the car by the time we got home since he didn't nap today.  I watched the New Year's Rockin' Eve and waited for Jayson to get home.  He just got here and I've convinced him to stay up with me 10 more minutes and watch the ball drop.  Gotta get my New Year's kiss! : )

2011

January 12th - Eaen turned 2!  We were sealed as a family for eternity in the Bountiful Temple then had a dinner at the China Platter.  It was wonderful to be surround by loved ones at the alter as Jayson & I were sealed to each other and then to Eaen as an eternal family!

February 23rd - Eaen got his first Woodhave cousin when Carson was born today.  Eaen loves spending time with Carson!

May 2nd - I officially started classes in the Master of Taxation program at Weber State University.

May 17th - Our 3 Year Anniversary!

August 1st - We finally moved out of apartments into a house!  (Still renting, but at least we have a yard, garage, and more than double the space!)

August 19th - Took a road trip to Denver with Jake, Brooke & Carson to Brad & Christina's wedding reception.

We spent the holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's) in Utah surrounded by family and friends.

We didn't get to take a trip to Alaska this year.  We have to wait until Jayson gets some Vacation time at work.  Hopefully, we'll be able to go up in 2012!  We've all been busy this year.  Jayson was promoted to Manager at LHM and has taken on more responsibility.  I've been busy with school, work, and taking care of Eaen!  Eaen has been busy growing and learning new things.  He loves spending time with his friends Cooper & Maurie.  He loves his cousins!  We're grateful we get to see Carson & Shelby almost weekly, he sure misses the rest of them!

Dolphin Tale

Yesterday we got the movie "Dolphin Tale."  I wasn't sure if Eaen would watch it since it wasn't a cartoon, but he likes fish and I wanted to see it, so I thought we'd give it a try.  Eaen & I watched it together before bedtime while Jayson was at work.  This morning when we got up, Eaen insisted that I sit in the middle of the couch.  A bit confused, I sat in the middle of the couch to see what he wanted.  He climbed in my lap and said, "Fishy."  He wanted to watch "Dolphin Tale" again.  Each time the movie ended, he wanted to watch it again.  He got so excited every time Winter would swim with his new tail.  It amazes me how much he likes this movie!

The hand is actually in the movie.  I was amazed how real it looked in my picture!

New Sleeping Arrangements

Eaen got a mini couch for his room for Christmas that pulls out into a bed with a sleeping bag zipped inside.  All week he has only wanted to sleep on that couch.  Nap time, bedtime, it doesn't matter.  And of course he has to take all of his new toys to bed with him as well.  I've let him nap in it a few times, but at night I move him to his bed after he falls asleep.

Zoo Lights

Today we exchanged some of Eaen's duplicate gifts and he was able to choose his new toys to replace the ones returned.  He carefully looked around the store.  He would choose an item, then carry it with him until he found something he liked better.  He settled on Buddy and Tiny action figures that talk and interact with each other.  He is very happy with his choice!

Tonight Eaen & I went to Zoo Lights with Amanda & Maurie.  Jayson wasn't able to come since the guy who didn't show up Christmas Eve quit yesterday, so now he's stuck working open-close until he can get a new person trained.  The boys had a great time!  It was pretty neat.  We saw a few monkeys and the tigers, but the rest of the animals were inside sleeping.  The lights were cool and the boys enjoyed them and were excited to ride the Carousel.

Oh Christmas, where are you?

Jayson & I decided to rearrange the furniture in our family room and setup the Home Theater System he got for Christmas.  The easiest way to prepare for this was to take down the tree and clean up all of the Christmas stuff today.  This morning I got busy putting stuff away while Eaen played with his new toys in his room.  I finished the last of my cleaning while he was napping.  When he got up, he told me he wanted to go downstairs and see the Christmas tree.  I told him it was all gone and I had put it away because Christmas is over.  With a disappointed look, he cupped his hands around his mouth and went around the house saying, Oh Chritmas, where are you?

Tonight we went to spend some time with Cami before she leaves in the morning.  After playing with his new toys and playing some dominos, Eaen enjoyed some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in Grandma's chair.

Christmas Day

Eaen is normally an early riser, so my dad planned to be here at 6:30 am to watch him open presents before we met everyone else at my dad's house at 8 am.  Surprisingly, Eaen was still in bed when my dad arrived.  I went upstairs to wake him up.  I said, Eaen Santa came and left you presents.  He said, Oh Santa and rolled over.  Then I tried the Grandpa and Papa are downstairs waiting for you.  He said, No Grandpa work! and rolld over again.  Finally, I picked him up and took him downstairs.  I showed him the presents and Grandpa and we tried to get him to open a big present.  He said, I'm tired! and went back to his bed.  When I brought him back down, I sat him on my lap and started helping him get the stuff out of his stocking.  It didn't take long for him to get into it after that!  He was quite happy with all of his presents and we were quickly off to Grandpa's house to continue the festivities!

By the time we started opening presents at Grandpas, Eaen knew just what to do.  He even wanted to open Carson's presents for him since he was more interested in playing with the first toy he opened.

After presents and breakfast, we headed to church with Grandpa & Grandma.

After a nice Christmas program, it was back to Grandpa's for lunch.  After lunch, Eaen & Grandpa decided to pull out the RC Land Rover Eaen got for Christmas and give it a spin.

We headed home for naptime before it was time to go see the Winn's for presents and dinner.  Eaen took quite the long nap, so we were a bit late and once again it took him awhile to decided he wanted to open more presents.

Lindsey's dog Axel was able to join us.
At the end of the day, he made quite a haul and was happy with everything he got!  We're grateful for all of our family and their generousity!  When we got home, it didn't take long for Eaen to fall asleep once again!
