Walking Titan

Since Eaen locked me out of the apartment a couple weeks ago when I took Titan out to the bathroom, I now have to take Eaen with us.  Eaen LOVES taking the puppy potty!  When we do go out, Eaen has to hold the leash all by himself and he gets mad if I try and help him.  While we're out there, Eaen says, "Come" as he pulls on the leash.  Then for some reason when we're heading back to the apartment he yells, "Bad Dog!" and points his finger at him.  I'm not sure why he is always a bad dog since I always say, "Good boy." when he goes to the bathroom.  It's quite an adventure several times a day!

Lunch

Eaen's favorite lunch lately is a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich with Gerber Veggie Puffs.  This in and of itself is not very out of the ordinary from I'm sure many kids.  However, the way Eaen goes about eating his lunch is different.  He opens his sandwich on his tray, then he dips his puffs in the peanut butter and jelly until his puffs are gone.  Sometimes he then licks the peanut butter and jelly off the bread before finishing by eating the bread.  Other times, he just eats the bread when he's done with his puffs.  He cracks me up!  He loves to dip!
Dipping is serious business and requires much concentration.

He loves it!

Day at the Dunes

Since Jayson has worked so much over-time the past few weeks, the GM gave him today off.  We took full advantage of this rare opportunity to have a Saturday together.  We loaded up the bike, the dog, and the family and went to the Littla Sahara Sand Dunes for the day.
It was a beautiful day! The temps were in the 70's, and with a slight breeze most of the day it was perfect!  Eaen was so excited on the way out there he kept yelling "DUNES!" and raising his hands in the air.  When we finally got to sand mountain Eaen was wanted his helmet and he wanted a ride!

This boy is a natural and he couldn't get enough of riding!  Every chance he could, he asked for a ride!

Titan enjoyed being at the dunes too!  This was his first trip out there.  He definitely wore out running along side Jayson on the bike!

In between rides, Eaen and I played in the sand with his toys.  Who needs a beach?!

As much fun as we had in the sand, Eaen's heart is in riding!  He loved watching the bikes go up the mountain.  When guys would race up the mountain, Eaen would say, "Here they go!"  When Jayson went up the hill, Eaen cheered him on.

When Jayson told him he had to let the bike cool down, he sat on it and patiently waited his turn!  At the end of the day, we all were tired because we had so much fun!  It's nice to have a little bit of time to get away from the busy every day life, relax, and have some fun with our family!  When all was said and done, Jayson informed me his next bike will be a Banshee.  I love my boys!

Going to work

Today while Eaen and I were playing, he picked up Jayson's hat & put it on.  Then he grabbed Jayson's water bottle, came over kissed me good-bye and went to the door to go to work.  It was priceless!
He's also been into kissing everything good-bye lately, even if we are just leaving the room or going to take Titan to the bathroom.  He's kissed his cup of milk in the fridge, the couch, his bike, his ball, a chair, and today he kissed the toilet seat when I told him if he wasn't going potty we were leaving the bathroom.  That's where I drew the line and then promptly washed out his mouth.

Zoorassic Park

Today we were finally able to take Eaen to the Hogle Zoo.  After the wettest May in history, we reached 80 today.  It was a nice morning at the zoo though.  With a slight cloud cover and a little breeze, it was perfect.  Jayson, Eaen & I were joined by our friend Amanda and her son Maurie.  Eaen and Maurie have so much fun together!  Even though half the zoo is under construction, we still had a good time.  Eaen was much more interested in the animals than he was 2 years ago the first time we went to the zoo.  He kept pointing to different animals and saying, "Look Maurie."

Most of the day, Eaen was too consumed with looking at the animals, he was not happy when I asked him to look at mommy and say "Cheese!"  We did our best with the pictures though.

While we were standing in line to ride the carousel, there was a boy about 5 yrs old sitting on the bench crying.  After staring at him for a minute trying to figure out what was wrong, Eaen looked at him and said, "Hey, stop crying."  The boy was not happy with that and walked off still crying.

Eaen was excited to go!

He road the Ostrich, but he couldn't be bothered with looking at mom for a picture.

After we saw all the animals and road the carousel, Eaen and Maurie got to run around Discovery Land.  They loved the snake slide!

Hogle Zoo is hosting Zoorassic Park this year.  They had huge dinosaurs that moved, made noise, and even spit water all over the zoo.  It was a nice addition for the kids since half the animals are gone.

Giving his best T-Rex ROAR!
