Happy Halloween!

It's finally here!  Eaen has been so excited for Halloween this year!  I love seeing the sparkle in his eyes when he sees Halloween decorations or talks about being a Firefighter and going trick-or-treating!  It has been great!  He got to spend the day with Great-Grandma Winn & Grandma Jolene.  When I got there to pick him up after work, we changed him into his costume & let him trick-or-treat at the neighbor's, where his friend Hank lives, and then at Great-Grandma's.  Aunt Mimi also came up to see him and bring him a surprise!

Next, we stopped by Great-Grandma Woodhave's & Uncle Jeff's apartments.  Grandma told Eaen she was waiting for him!

We made one more stop at the Malmstrom's on our way home so he could trick-or-treat there.  He was excited to see his friends!


When we got home, I cooked and we ate dinner.  While we were waiting for dinner to cook, we called Grandpa Tony to wish him a Happy Birthday!  We had a few trick-or-treators come to our house before we headed out to join the masses.  Eaen was so excited to answer the door and give them candy!  I don't know if he was more excited about going trick-or-treating or handing out the candy to the kids who came to our door!  He was so dang cute going up to the doors.  After a few houses, he started saying "Happy Halloween!" as he walked away from the door.  He loved every minute of it!

He did get a little scared going up to some of the houses, but he did great!  After going down both sides of our street, we made a potty stop back at our house & refilled the bowl on the front porch.  When Eaen walked up to the house and saw the empty bowl, he said, "Aw, dang it!"  Also, when someone didn't answer their door, he said, "They're lost."  Hilarious!

Originally when we got home, Eaen said he was done.  But after he went potty, he was ready to go again!  We went down the street across from our house and found that one of our neighbors is quite the pumpkin carver.  He has 161 carved pumpkins!  It was awesome!  They are so detailed too.  He has some that are foam pumpkins and others that are real.  He keeps adding to his collection each year.

Eaen had gone to Farmington City offices today where these were on display until he brought them to his house for tonight, so he knew exactly which ones were his favorite and searched until he found them!  He told me I had to take a picture of the Mummy!

After we finished that street, it was back home.  Eaen dumped all of his goodies out on the table to survey his treasure.  He was more than pleased and happy to share with Mommy & Papa!  He promptly went to bed, but with every ring of the doorbell, he bolted to the front door to pass out more candy!  Not a bad Halloween!
