Kids Parade, Friends & Fireworks

We started off the holiday festivities by putting Eaen in the kids parade tonight.  I thought he would love to ride his bike in it, but expected it to be more of me pushing him since we haven't had a lot of chances to practice pedalling.  Jayson walked along side of us as our photographer.  While waiting for the parade to start, Scott & Cooper found us.  Eaen was very excited he had a friend to ride with!  We saw my dad and Christie at the beginning of the parade to cheer us on!  Eaen did much better than I expected and he pedalled quite a bit!  It made me so proud!  Toward the end of the parade Eaen let go of his handlebars with one hand and started waving to the people on the side of the road!  When we got to Lisa's parents' house near the end of the parade and Eaen saw the rest of their family, he decided that was the end of the parade for us.  After we stopped, Eaen proceeded to wave at the rest of the kids in the parade as they passed.  He really did enjoy it & we look forward to doing it again next year!  (Hopefully with less help from mommy!)

After the parade, we stayed and enjoyed the evening with Lisa's family.  Eaen loves playing with her kids.  Her parents grilled hot dogs.  We enjoyed friends and the nice evening weather.  It wasn't very hot today, which was fantastic!
Jayson was jealous he didn't get to ride a bike in the parade!

Eaen & Cooper took turns pushing each other in the stroller
Once it got dark, we had a front row seat for the fireworks show.  Eaen wasn't thrilled with them.  I don't think he like the noise because he started crying as soon as they started and he clung to me throughout the show, but he was still trying to watch them.  Afterwards, he was perfectly fine.  When I showed him the pictures he said, "Oh pretty!"
