Driving to Denver

We only had a couple of hours this morning to finish our preparations to leave for Denver.  We sent Jayson off to work, then Eaen & I got to work around the house.  We had everything ready to go and Eaen began to get anxious.  We got our luggage in the garage and Eaen was watching for uncle to arrive.

We loaded up the minivan and we were on the road by 10:30 am.  Eaen & Carson both fell asleep the first part of the ride.  We made our first stop at Little America to eat our lunch and let Eaen run some.  He enjoyed the dinosaur and the playground.

On the road again, but this time they didn't sleep.  Eaen watched some Rango while Carson watched some Cars.  Jake pushed Carson's feeding time to the limit!  We were trying to make it to Laramie before we stopped again, but a lot of road work and one lane traffic caused us to take much longer to get there.  Carson let us all know he was starving!  : )

After a quick stop for feeding and diapers, we were on the road for the final stretch.  Both boys fell asleep again just outside of Fort Collins.  I was happy Eaen decided to take another nap, but feared we would pay for the late nap at bedtime.  We arrived at Greg & Julie's around 7:30 pm.  Everyone was ready to be out of the car!  Eaen and Lexi were so excited to see each other!  They played and played while the rest of us ate pizza.  When bedtime came, neither one of them wanted to go to sleep.  I did pay for that long late nap as it took me about two hours to finally get Eaen to sleep.  We ran through the battery on the portable DVD player, the laptop, and my cell phone.
